Cosmetics and household chemicals testing laboratory
Microbiological tests for cosmetics, household chemicals - microbiological purity tests, challange tests, antibacterial properties, water activity, skin microbiome.
Skin microbiome test
This is an assessment of the pathogen reduction effect and the appearance of symbiotic microorganisms, before and after application of the product.
Antibacterial

Microbiological purity test
It is one of the basic tests aimed at controlling the quality and safety of the product. Regulation of the European Parliament and of the EC Council No. 1223/2009 obliges producers to comply with this principle and care for product quality. The microbiological purity is influenced, among others, by the quality and purity of the raw materials used in the production. In addition, the method of their storage and use, as well as the technological process and product packaging are important. Excessive multiplication of bacterial flora has a negative impact on the quality of the product, which can cause allergic reactions, irritation and inflammation of the skin and diseases. In order to prevent such situations, the formulation of the product should be created in such a way that it hinders the development of microorganisms both at the stage of production and its use.
We offer tests:
- EN ISO 21149 – total number of microbes
- EN ISO 22718 – presence of Staphylococcus aureus
- EN ISO 22717 – presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- EN ISO 18416 – presence of Candida albicans
- EN ISO 21150 – presence of Escherichia coli
- EN ISO 16212 – number of molds and yeasts
additionally, at the customer’s request, we mark the presence of:
- Burkholderia Cepacia
- Enterobacter Sakazakii
- Bacillus Cereus

Challange tests
They guarantee that the selected preservatives protect the cosmetic product against the development of microorganisms and protect against the development of secondary infections during the use of the product. They consist in infecting the tested cosmetic mass with strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aurerus, Candida albicans and Aspergillus brasiliensis and observing the reduction of microorganisms over time. Challange tests should be performed at various stages of research and implementation of the product as well as during its production. A good preservative is one that should act on microorganisms even at low concentrations, act quickly and be safe for humans.
We offer:
- Challange tests of cosmetics according to PN:EN ISO 11930
Microbiological tests of cosmetics, household chemicals, microbiological purity tests, challange tests, antibacterial properties, water activity, skin microbiome.
Water activity test
The water activity test is dedicated to anhydrous cosmetics, oil forms, eye shadows, talcum powders and powders.
The test determines the level of water activity of the product in order to exclude the ability to multiply microorganisms in the product.
In products with water activity (Aw) ≤ 0.7, there is no possibility of multiplication of microorganisms, these products are exempt from performing preservation tests.
We offer:
- Water activity test according to: PN ISO 21807:2005, EN ISO 29621:2017
